Truck Falls into Ohio sinkhole

Ohio’s FAIRLAWN — When a sinkhole unexpectedly appeared and the work truck partially sank in on Monday, a public works employee who had been sent to a water main break in a town in northern Ohio was momentarily trapped inside, according to officials.
The employee—whose identity remained undisclosed—did not sustain any injuries.

Approximately 5:30 a.m., the man was alone himself in the truck when he arrived at the Fairlawn, an Akron suburb. Soon after the sinkhole formed, the man managed to get out of the car and climb to safety.
The sinkhole was reported by town officials to be 25 feet by 50 feet (7.6 metres by 15.2 metres).

According to the town’s public works department, it is unclear what caused the water main break or how long it will take to repair. About a dozen households lost their water service as a result of the breach.
